Iowa Colony is the fast-growing city south of Pearland along State Highway 288, including communities such as Meridiana. Almost every wallpaper call here is new construction or a house only a few years old. The drywall is textured. The paint may be new. The request is almost always one accent wall, a nursery, or a dining room that the model home had papered and the spec house did not.
Do not paper the paint week
Builder paint needs to cure. Wallpaper primer is still required after that. Peel-and-stick sold as a move-in weekend project fails on this texture and on this paint, then pulls the paint off when someone tries to “reposition” it a month later. If you want the look of the model, budget a real install: smooth or line the wall, prime, then hang a non-woven or a mural sized to the actual width.
