Short answer: Wallpaper a Pearland powder room, or the dry walls of a bath that has a real exhaust fan, using vinyl or a moisture-rated non-woven on a primed wall. Do not paper the inside of a shower. Do not put grasscloth where steam collects.
Which walls can take paper
A powder room with no shower is the best bathroom install in the city. The door closes, the visit is short, and a coated paper handles the occasional humidity spike. A hall bath or primary bath can take paper on walls that stay outside the wet zone if the fan moves air out of the house and is actually used. If the bath already has 1990s vinyl
Silverlake, Friendswood, Alvin, and older Pearland streets still have it. Sometimes a border was painted over. Removal comes first. The drywall underneath may tear because it was never primed. The first month after install
